Being in a great and satisfied workplace is everyone’s
desire. And that’s the reason people look for change. This fact is known to all
and so to HR recruiters. They make use of it in very intelligent way...specifically recruiters of a branded/well established company. When they
find a person coming from a startup or SME’s who is perfect for the job profile,
cleared all the interview rounds and just waiting for the final discussion on
CTC, they try to negotiate for the package stating that ‘Your expected CTC is
unreasonable. Your current company is not good compare to ours in terms of
certainty, facility, and security. How can you ask this much?’.
What the ****.
You have asked so many relevant/irrelevant question to judge me in 5/6 rounds,
you have tried to pull my leg as much as you can in last 3/4 hours, you have
taken advantage of my weaknesses as long as you can and finally when I have
proved myself that I am perfect for your organization, you are trying to
negotiate money stating such reasons??
I really do not understand that if a candidate is really fit
for a role, why should recruiters look back from where the candidate is? And
most importantly if your organization can’t provide the package asked for, you
can simply tell that this is not a range that we provide for your role. Instead,
why should you need to underestimate my company? Does it mean that you can
provide money, but not to a candidate who comes from SME? I really don’t
understand your strategy…
I request that please give value to a candidate who, you
think, are absolutely fit for your company irrespective of where they come from
and please do not show your attitude as you are HR recruiter. If you think you
are a person who has the authority for all recruitment decision, please be
humble to selected candidates.
